Peer Relationships

Build and maintain healthy peer relationships

Building Healthy Friendships

Peers are people who are the same age as you, like your classmates. Good friendships are built on trust, respect, and kindness. A good friend listens to you, helps you, and accepts you for who you are.
Example

Being a Good Friend

Share your things and take turns. Stand up for a friend who is being teased. Say sorry when you make a mistake. Include others who are left out. Listen when your friend is talking instead of interrupting.
Note

Remember

It is normal for friends to disagree sometimes. Talk about the problem calmly and try to understand each other's point of view. A real friend does not pressure you to do wrong things.
