Understand how to keep the environment healthy

Keeping Our Environment Healthy

A healthy environment has clean air, clean water, and land that is free of rubbish. When people litter, burn waste, or pollute rivers, it harms plants, animals, and people. We all have a duty to look after the environment.
Example

What You Can Do

Pick up litter at school and put it in the bin. Save water by turning off the tap while brushing your teeth. Plant a tree or start a small garden. Use both sides of paper before recycling it.
Note

Remember

South Africa faces challenges like water shortages and air pollution. Every small action counts — if every learner picks up one piece of litter a day, our schools and communities will be much cleaner.
