Human Body Systems

Learn about basic human body systems

Systems Inside Our Body

Our body has different systems that work together to keep us alive. The skeletal system (bones) holds our body up. The muscular system (muscles) helps us move. The digestive system breaks down the food we eat into energy.
Example

How Systems Work Together

When you kick a ball, your brain sends a message through your nerves. Your muscles pull on your bones to move your leg. Your heart pumps blood faster to give your muscles extra energy. All these systems work together!
Note

Remember

Eating healthy food, drinking water, and exercising every day helps all your body systems stay strong and work properly.
