Understanding What You Read
Comprehension means understanding what you read. After reading a text, you should be able to answer questions about it. Think about who, what, where, when, and why. 🤔📖
Example
Read and Answer
Text: 'Tumi went to the shop. She bought bread and milk. She walked home in the rain.'
Questions:
• Who went to the shop? (Tumi)
• What did she buy? (Bread and milk)
• What was the weather like? (It was raining) 🌧️

Tips for Comprehension
Read the text more than once. Look at the questions, then go back to the text to find the answers. The answer is always in the text! Underline important words. 📝
