Count forward and backward in ones and tens to 100

Numbers from 1 to 100

We can count all the way to 100! After 50 we keep going: 51, 52, ... 60, 61, ... 70, 80, 90, 100! The number 100 is a very special number — it is 10 groups of ten.

10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100! 🎉 That is 10 jumps of ten. 🔟🔟🔟🔟🔟🔟🔟🔟🔟🔟 = 100!

Place Value to 100

Every number up to 100 has a tens digit and a ones digit. For example: 73 has 7 tens and 3 ones. 85 has 8 tens and 5 ones. 100 has 1 hundred, 0 tens, and 0 ones.

100 is called 'one hundred'. It takes 10 tens to make 100. You can count to 100 by ones, twos, fives, or tens!
