Feelings & Emotions

Identify and express different feelings and emotions

Understanding Our Feelings

Everyone has feelings. Sometimes we feel happy, sad, angry, or scared. All feelings are okay — what matters is how we show them. We can use words, signs, or pictures to tell others how we feel.
Example

Naming Feelings

Happy — when you get a hug or play with friends. Sad — when you miss someone or lose something. Angry — when something feels unfair. Scared — when something is new or unknown.
Note

Remember

If you feel upset, take a deep breath and talk to a trusted adult. It is good to share your feelings — keeping them inside can make you feel worse.
