Media analysis involves critically examining news articles, social media posts, advertisements, and propaganda to understand how language, images, and design are used to influence the audience. You must identify bias, propaganda techniques, and the difference between fact and opinion.

Bandwagon: 'Everyone is doing it — join in!' Emotional appeal: Using sad images or music to create sympathy. Repetition: Repeating a message so it becomes familiar. Loaded language: Using words with strong emotional connotations. Testimonial: A famous person endorsing a product. Example: An advert shows a celebrity drinking a soft drink — this is testimonial combined with association (linking the product to success).
