Transactional Writing
Transactional texts are practical texts written for a specific purpose and audience. In Grade 7, you learn to write friendly letters, diary entries, and dialogues. Each has a specific format that you must follow.

Key Points
Always follow the correct format — marks are awarded for it. Use the appropriate tone: friendly for a personal letter, reflective for a diary. In dialogues, use speech marks and start a new line for each speaker. Label who is speaking.
