Editing & Proofreading
Edit and proofread own and others' writing
Editing and Proofreading
Editing means improving your writing by checking its structure, content, and flow. Proofreading means checking for errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Good writers always edit and proofread before submitting their work.
Example
Spot the Errors
Original: 'me and my frend went to the shop we buyed bread and milk'
Edited: 'My friend and I went to the shop. We bought bread and milk.'
Errors fixed: 'me and my' → 'My friend and I', 'frend' → 'friend', missing full stop, 'buyed' → 'bought'.
Note
