Performance Arts

Participate in drama, dance and musical performances

Drama, Dance, and Music

Performance arts include drama (acting), dance (moving to music), and music (singing and playing instruments). Performing helps us express our feelings, tell stories, and share our culture. Everyone can participate!
Example

Let's Perform!

Drama: act out a short story with your friends — use funny voices and expressions. Dance: learn a traditional South African dance like the gumboot dance. Music: sing together in a choir or make a shaker from a bottle filled with beans.
Note

Remember

You do not have to be perfect to enjoy performing. The most important thing is to have fun, be creative, and support your classmates when they perform.
