Identify and use nouns and verbs correctly

Nouns — Naming Words

A noun is a naming word. It names a person, place, animal, or thing. Examples: teacher (person), school (place), dog (animal), book (thing). Proper nouns name specific people or places and always start with a capital letter: Thabo, Cape Town. 👤📍

Verbs — Doing Words

A verb is a doing word. It tells us what someone or something does. Examples: run, eat, jump, read, sing. Every sentence needs at least one verb! 'The boy runs.' (runs = verb) 🏃
