Writing & Drawing

Make writing marks and draw to express ideas

Making Marks ✏️

Before we write letters, we make marks! We draw lines, circles and zigzags. These marks help our hands get ready for writing. Drawing is also a way to share our ideas!
Example

Let's Practice!

Draw these patterns: 〰️ Wavy lines — like the sea ⭕⭕⭕ Circles — like bubbles ✏️ Straight lines — up and down, left to right ⚡ Zigzags — like lightning!

Drawing Our Ideas

You can draw a picture of your family 👨‍👩‍👧, your pet 🐶 or your favourite food 🍌. Then tell your teacher about your drawing. Your drawing tells a story!
Note

Remember

Hold your pencil with three fingers (like a bird's beak 🐦). Sit up straight. Take your time — every mark you make is special! ⭐
