Integrating Multiple Systems
A combined systems project brings together everything you've learned: structures, mechanisms, electrical/electronic circuits, materials processing and the design process. You design a complex solution that integrates at least two technology systems to solve a meaningful problem.

• Automated pet feeder: timer (electronic) + dispensing mechanism (mechanical) + structure
• Model wind turbine: structure + mechanical (gears) + electrical (generator + LED)
• Automatic plant watering: electronic sensor + hydraulic/pneumatic + structure
• Security alarm: electronic circuit + mechanical trigger + housing structure
For each project: design brief → specifications → research → design → make → evaluate
