Large Numbers (up to 9 digits)
In Grade 6 we work with numbers up to 999 999 999 (nine hundred and ninety-nine million). These numbers have place values including millions, hundred-thousands, ten-thousands and more.

We read it as: four hundred and fifty-six million, seven hundred and eighty-nine thousand, one hundred and twenty-three.

Millions: same (5)
Hundred-thousands: same (4)
Ten-thousands: 3 vs 2 → 5 432 100 is larger

Remember
Use spaces (not commas) to separate groups of three digits in South Africa: 1 000 000 (one million). Compare from the left-most digit.
