Advanced Study and Exam Skills

Grade 11 marks are used for university applications, making effective study habits critical. Active learning techniques — summarising, teaching others, and practising past papers — are far more effective than passive rereading.
Example

Maximising Exam Performance

Before: create a study timetable allocating more time to weaker subjects. Use past NSC papers from the DBE website. Form study groups. During: read the whole paper first, allocate time per section, answer high-value questions thoroughly. After: review honestly and adjust.
Note

Remember

Consistency beats cramming. Studying 30 minutes every day is more effective than 15 hours the weekend before the exam. Take care of your mental and physical health.
